In 2024, FracomTech Foundation completed a public borehole project in Fori Kagoma, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, bringing safe and reliable water access to the community.
For years, residents depended on a nearby stream for drinking water, a source that was often contaminated and posed serious health risks. With the new borehole in place, families now have clean water for drinking, cooking, and daily use — reducing the spread of waterborne diseases and easing the burden on women and children who trekked long distances in search of water.
Local leaders and residents have hailed the intervention as a “life-changing development,” noting that children can now attend school regularly instead of spending hours fetching water. The borehole is powered by solar technology, ensuring sustainability and low maintenance while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
The Fori Kagoma project is part of FracomTech Foundation’s broader mission to provide clean water, renewable energy, and healthcare solutions to underserved communities across Nigeria. With a goal to impact one million lives by 2030, the Foundation continues to demonstrate how innovation and community-driven solutions can address pressing development challenges.
