Ending a Daily Struggle for Survival

In Padan Gwari, “getting water” is not a task — it is a daily battle.

Women and children leave home before sunrise to trek up to 5 km in search of muddy water shared with livestock. High incidences of cholera, typhoid, and school absenteeism remain constant reminders of what life without clean water looks like.

Impact So Far

  • 2,000+ residents identified as direct beneficiaries

  • Current water-collection time: up to 4–5 hours daily

  • Children missing 27 school days a term due to water duties

Why This Matters

What This Project Will Do

The Water for Life Initiative will install a solar-powered mechanized borehole, capable of pumping 10,000 L of clean water daily, directly into the heart of Padan Gwari. This will:

  • Cut walking distance from 5 km to 50 metres

  • Keep young girls in school

  • Drastically reduce preventable waterborne illnesses

  • Free up time for women to pursue income-generating ventures

Every ₦5,000 donated brings clean, safe water one step closer. Your support doesn’t just provide water — it provides health, education, dignity, and opportunities for a better future.
